Telehealth

Home telehealth is peace of mind - at the touch of a button.

Now it is possible to have more immediate access to care with Telehealth. Telehealth is a wonderful tool to supplement home care and doctor visits, so that problems can be detected earlier, avoiding frequent hospitalization. This easy-to-use in-home monitoring system enables a registered nurse to see and talk with the patient while monitoring their medical condition using patient-administered tools.

Telehealth is easy to use:

  1. A two-way audio/video connection through regular telephone lines allows you and your care provider to see and hear each other.
  2. You do easy self check-ups using simple medical instruments such as a telephonic stethoscope, glucose meter, digital scale, and vital sign monitors.
  3. The equipment connects to a patient station unit installed in your home and the readings are simply transmitted to your care provider, where your progress is monitored and evaluated.

Who should have a Telehealth system?

Telehealth is a very effective tool to assist in the home care of patients who require the most attention, so it is especially helpful to those with chronic or terminal conditions. Telehealth provides earlier detection of conditions requiring emergency care or hospitalization, and Telehealth provides the patient the ability to maintain independence at home by providing health monitoring "at will," instead of arranging for, and traveling to medical appointments.
